This exquisite blend is the work of Thomas Rivers Brown, our esteemed winemaker. Renowned as the greatest winemaker in all of Napa Valley, Brown's expertise and passion breathe life into every bottle, ensuring that each vintage of the Sage is a reflection of excellence.

A sophisticated, compelling wine marked by fathoms of depth, dark color and a vivid flavor profile that highlights all the best attributes of the old vine vineyard. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec were co-fermented in tank to create a tantalizing blend of Bordeaux varietals that expresses incredible nuance and power. The wine exhibits an inky purple hue with a dark violet halo. Aromas swell from the glass in concert suggesting notes of boysenberry paste, roasted meat, dark chocolate, and lavender oil. The luxurious mouth feel expresses tightly woven notes of macerated blackberry, dark plum reduction, baking spice and purple lilac. The medium weights tannins and clean acidity provide a refined framework to the mid-palate carrying through to a long, floral finish. This wine is drinking well now and will age gracefully in the cellar for years to come.
