Our Zinfandel comes entirely from our estate property located at 2,200 feet in elevation. Outpost grapes are harvested late in the season - by hand, at dawn - to preserve the full intensity and distinctive spicy character of the mountain fruit. Wines are neither fined or filtered allowing for the full expression of the vintages' potential.
Outpost was established in 1998 with the vision of producing wines that embodied the unique Howell Mountain AVA. Truly one of the world’s great Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel growing regions, the unique terroir of the Outpost vineyards – the hard, rocky red soil, high altitude, gentle cooling breezes and sunny western exposure – produces fruit of incredible intensity and richness. All of Outpost's offerings are 100% varietal bottlings and farmed and produced from their 28-acre estate vineyard. Thomas Rivers Brown has crafted the wines from the beginning.

When will my wine club selections be shipped?
Wine club shipments may take a few weeks to ship during high volume club months. We appreciate your patience during this busy time. You will be sent a UPS tracking number to the email on file to track your package. Note: club shipments are not an immediate turn around and are subjected for hold due to any weather or inventory constraints per the winery’s discretion.
